Speed wins.
If logging a meal takes more than 10 seconds, people stop doing it. Every surface we build is optimized for the next meal, not the dashboard review.
About
Bite Built AI exists because the nutrition apps we tried were either dumbed-down bundles of ads or spreadsheet-grade tools that looked like tax software. We wanted something in between — fast, beautiful, actually accurate — so we built it.
What we believe
Four principles that shape every screen, every feature, and every decision about what we don't build.
If logging a meal takes more than 10 seconds, people stop doing it. Every surface we build is optimized for the next meal, not the dashboard review.
We use vision models to skip the worst part of tracking — typing. We don't pretend they're doctors, nutritionists, or coaches. They estimate. You decide.
Every default in the app is adjustable. The plan you start with is a reasonable guess, not a prescription. If something feels wrong, change it.
We don't sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it to train third-party models. If that ever changes, we'll notify you before it does — or we'll have failed at the job.
The stack
Bite Built AI is a React Native app (iOS + Android) backed by a Node + PostgreSQL API hosted on Render, with Cloudflare R2 for meal photos, Neon for the database, and RevenueCat managing subscriptions. The marketing site you're reading runs on Next.js and Vercel.
We picked boring, battle-tested tools on purpose. Every dependency has a clear job and a reasonable exit if we need to swap it. Simple systems stay fast.
